Our heroes decided to stay out past curfew in an attempt to rescue Chip and Fearne from The Thieves Guild-- currently being held for randsome until Lucky and Sankara's debt from a past life is paid. While Gallogk and Bjorn laid low in the subdimensional Hideway with Jeeves, Lucky and Sankara snuck through the streets and over the rooftops of Al-Khazahm towards the Oasis dodging the gaze of the ever-watchful automatons and contructs that patrol the night streets.
Sankara, in rat form, was able to dodge the predation of Selene-- a black cat who has claimed the alleyways as her hunting grounds. Safe in Lucky's pockets, the two proceeded. Lucky and Sankara made their way into The Oasis. After successful investigations, Sankara located a secret entrance to The Thieves guild and began to scope out. Lucky soon followed, dodging the detection from Esme, one of the club girls.
Sankara ventured forth, scoping out The Thieves Guild. He found papers mentioning the threat of the Assassin's Guild and a weapons locker. Lucky, making his way through via the opposite route located a room containing a large rune which translated to "Home".
Sankara eventually found his way to the bathhouses, and in his rat form found Chip and Fearne to be very comfortable. Amidst the hot baths, steam, and bubbles, with hanging plants and torch light piercing through the thick steam, Chip and Feane were found to be chatting up and practicing their kissing skills with the club girls.
Lucky was making his way close behind when, in his glamor of a halfling woman, he was discovered by Persephone. "How did you find your way down here?"
Meanwhile, much happened within the Hideaway...
Gallgok pushed Jeeves' interior decorating skills to the test by requiring him to make ornate structures with the horde of Doniathon's gold. "At your service..."
Bjorn explored a bit more and found a room that might suit him. Unfortunately, the space was occupied by a dead rat in the corner. As soon as he touched the dead body, his vision went black and he was greeted by a hooded figure. Lowering the hood, it was revealed to be Natalia, Priestess of Abathor (god of death and greed) in Bur Boldor. "I've been wanting to speak with you. Waiting on you to touch death once more to make a connection." Bjorn explained their journey through the Underdark and their meeting with Malavarak the Mercurial. Natalia had news of her own. Bolstered by the support of Argenti the Silver Dragon of Order, Natalia was able to spin the death of the Hierophant as a suicide driven by madness. With Argenti's support, Natalia has taken over the leadership of Bur Bolder and seeks to speak more with Bjorn about the future of the dwarven city. She informed Bjorn that Bim and the half-ogres were safe and that Bim had started an impromtu one-man show that was, unfortunately, very good.
